camp
The last two weekends I had the privilege of being a part of Forest Home's High School Winter Camp. Forest Home is great and I love the connection that our church has with this camp.
Our College/Young Adults Director, Jessy plays a vital role in leading certain prayer moments with the students, another one of my high school ministry leaders, Jon, works as a dean, and Angie, the High School Director, is married to our Contemporary Worship Director. And our entire church body, from the little kids to the adults all join up fpr summer camp during the same week in the summer. There have been so many precious memories and important moments over the years for us as a church community.

So my role the last two weekends was to be one the three speakers for the camp. On Saturday, the students all worship together in the morning and evening, and then break off into the three groups to hear from the speakers. The speakers then rotate to speak to the different groups. The first week was extra special because some of our high school students were up doing kitchen patrol for the camp during every meal for the weekend. Our high schoolers are awesome! My good friend Jeremy and his crew from Laguna were there too.
The other two speakers who were there during my weeks were Troy Murphy, an old friend who is now the chaplain for the Green Bay Packers, and Jeff Wagner, Acting Director of Christian Education at Trinity United Pres in Santa Ana. These are great guys and it was fun getting some time with them. These pictures are taken by Andy Baron who is a rockin' photographer at camp. One is of Johnny (worship guy at our church) and me and the other is of Troy, Jeff, and me at lunch on Sunday.

I have to say that those are some pretty amazing pictures... especially the first one! And I'm glad you had a good couple of weekends, I miss Forest Home.. can't wait for summer :]
